After flying for fourteen hours one must need a martini, a dirty martini. This is the drink that I’ve been obsessing over ever since I watched “The wedding date” movie, where they only drank dirty Martini with those cute little olives. By that time I was an underage who couldn’t drink alcohol but still loved the look of the martini. I thought that it’s so classy and sweet, which is not the case. Yet, five years later I loved the bitterness of the dirty martini, and ever since I always made sure to order it with extra olives on top.
To make a dirty martini you will need two oz gin, one tbsp dry vermouth, two tbsp olive juice, and as many olives as you prefer. I usually like to add salt to the rim of the martini glass, in order to give it an extra flavor; the thing that always confuses the bar tender, who would say “Miss, are you sure you don’t want a margarita?” Yep, I’m unconventional sir!
So keep the dirty martini close and high whenever you want to have a nice drink. It is so classy, and will go perfectly with your high heels and red lipstick.
