Artsy Easter Eggs

Artsy Easter Eggs

Happy Easter Everyone! I am so happy with my Easter gift this year, where one of the professors at my school got me those Ukrainian egg sleeves to help me make some artsy Easter eggs. (She’s so sweet).

Back in my childhood, my grandma used to make us colored Easter eggs using natural coloring item; where she boils the eggs in colored water using red beats, green lime, yellow spices and other home remedies. I remember having “crack the egg” competitions with my cousins, then being forced to eat the cracked eggs. I sent my grandma pictures of my own artsy Easter eggs and she absolutely loved them, she always loved my work. I have to say that she is the most artistic person I know, and she was the one who taught me to cook, bake, sew, and yes, KNIT!

If you got your hands on one of those egg sleeves or egg wraps, you can follow the steps I took bellow.

Enjoy cracking those artsy Easter eggs!
