Most women including myself have a thing for shoes and bags, but I have a slightly more love for shoes. I do believe that they both could be timeless (if chosen wisely); however, I feel that the shoe quality is a bit more important than a party clutch or a pink trendy bag. A little bit of cheap bags won’t ruin your feet, it might only ruin your elegance, but that’s fixable (laugh).
I am always willing to invest in good shoes, even though their trend might last a year or two, I found that the shoe trend has a cycle – what goes around comes around. How do I know? I’m gonna give the example of Carrie Bradshaw, I have watched her series 10 years after the time of the show. I did like her style, but I wasn’t sure about her Manolo/ Louboutin pointy shoes in which she spent hundreds of dollars on; I honestly thought they’re out of style. Then today, I can totally imagine Carrie wearing all designs of this year’s Monolo Blahniks like as if we are still in 1995!
So I believe that all kinds of designers’ shoes are timeless. Investing in different colors, textures and designs is a smart thing to do, and your daughters are gonna thank you one day.
